Well, i guess i have to make up a bit more with my posts.

[1] National Pride
Recall that i mentioned in the last post that
there was something that made me very pissed off.

It happened on Friday after school, when i was on my way home.
By the way, there wasn't even a National Day Celebration for JC2s.
That's why it's 'after school' and not 'after the celebrations'
I board the bus, tapped my card and
walked to the rear of the bus to find my seat as usual.
I came to realised there is a national flag on the floor.
Those kind of plastic plastic one which children carry with them.
Like the one below!

I did not take too much of a notice at first.
I mean like it's quite common to have found rubbish on the bus floors,
who will bother la uh.
But as more people broad the bus, people start to move to the back,
what that is unacceptable and intolerable is that
people are actually stepping on the National Flag.
Come on, YOUR National Flag!
Worse is that i saw this particular man, who had stepped on the flag,
looked down to see what he have stepped after realising it.
He totally ignored and continued to step on it.
No intention to pick it up at all!
WA LAO EH!
Where's your respect for the country man!

You may not love the country to the extend that
you always mention Singapore in your conversations with friends
or striving hard to become a PAP politician to reform Singapore
that kind of thing
BUT
you have got to respect Singapore.
Whether or not that you dare to admit or willing to admit,
you have to agree that Singapore has
a) provided a safe environment for us to live
(compare yourself with that in US where crime rate is damn high,
you will know what i mean)
b) ensured that our basic needs are met
(think of all the financial assistance schemes and
then compare yourself with those in other countries
where you don't even know you have food to eat for the next meal)
c) providing affordable education & health care
(oh please, i'm sure u know how much your current school fee is subsidized)
d) been in continuous improvement
(come on, which other ASEAN countries
have all the F1, AYG & YOG in mere 3 years alone)

The list goes on but i guess you get my point.
For what you have now (which most of us has taken it for granted)
is all provided by Singapore.
This is where you live.
This is where you belong.

Total idiots for the guy who stepped on the National Flag.
Total idiots who don't bother to stand still when
the national anthem is played (more of refering to that in school)
I mean like that's the BASIC respect for the country leh!

Eventually, before i alighted the bus, i picked up the National Flag.
It's so saddening to have let it be stepped over by people.

[2] My School Schedule
I think i have not told you guys about my timetable in school now.
It's so damn horrible.

Since Term 3 Week 5 (the upcoming week is week 8)
the college has implemented a
TPJC JC2 Intensive Revision Programme 2009
It's hell tired i tell you.

Morning, we have time tabled lessons from morning till 1pm.
Later in the afternoon,
we have 2 slots of structured revision time
where each subject is given a slot to conduct revision
on top of that in morning timetabled lectures.
One is from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, another is 4pm to 6pm.
Both are compulsory for all students.
Thinking to end school daily at 6pm is tiring?
Tell you, it's not the end yet!
Night Study, which is compulsory for selected students
(which is more than half of the JC2 cohort)
unless you really scored well, is conducted from 7pm to 9pm.
Hell tiring!
A summary of the general schedule is as below.

As for me, i'm down for night study on Tuesday and Thursday.
That is to say,
I end school at 6pm on Monday & Wednesday
and 9pm on Tuesday & Thursday.
Exception to Friday, where i end school at 4.30pm
due to Friday prayers that delayed the afternoon structured revision.
In any case, neither of the days left me energized.

If i were to end school at 6pm, i reached home at 7.30pm.
If i were to end school at 9pm, i reached home at 9.30pm.
Plus all the bathing, dinner & checking of school portal,
do you think i still have the energy to do homework?
